City Of Ryde Prayer Breakfast

The City of Ryde Prayer Breakfast is an opportunity to meet in the spirit of Jesus and pray together for our City. By sharing in prayer for our diverse community, together we can grow in our knowledge of God, reach out with the love of Jesus Christ to people who may be from backgrounds different to our own, and better understand how we connect with our communities. It is a unique opportunity for the Churches of Ryde to join together to pray for our City.

The theme of this year’s Breakfast is “Vertical Communities” Greig Whittaker is our guest speaker and he will speak on How we can build communities in Vertical Villages. As our city changes shape we need to consider a response. The building of places we call home is one part of the equation, creating healthy communities in which we live is another. The Together for Ryde network in conjunction with Macquarie University have undertaken research to understand vertical villages and the challenges of community within them. He will look at key findings, recommendations and responses from this research.
