“Not only have I become great friends with my mentor, I’ve also grown confidence in parenting & decision making, as well as achieving my goal of getting a job I really enjoy.”
Together For Ryde is excited to be bringing COACH Community Mentoring to Ryde!
COACH is a nationally- and internationally-recognised program that helps people in tough places flourish.
Community members are paired 1:1 with a volunteer mentor, who becomes a ‘friend with purpose’ who can help them set goals and make progress towards them.
To be a mentor, you need to be kind, a good listener, and available for one hour per week or per fortnight.
Our first training day for interested mentors in Ryde will be held on Saturday 18 October.
The training is fun and educational, and you don’t need to make a firm commitment beforehand. Come to the training, get a taste of what COACH is about, and then you can make a decision about whether you’d like to proceed to being matched with a community member.

(PS Exact training time and venue are TBC, but will be in the Ryde/Macquarie Park area)
