DESCRIPTION:“Not only have I become great friends with my mentor\, I’ve also grown confidence in parenting & decision making\, as well as achieving my goal of getting a job I really enjoy.” \nTogether For Ryde is excited to be facilitating COACH Community Mentoring in Ryde! \nCOACH is a nationally- and internationally-recognised program that helps people in tough places flourish. \nCommunity members are paired 1:1 with a volunteer mentor\, who becomes a ‘friend with purpose’ who can help them set goals and make progress towards them. \n \nTo be a mentor\, you need to be kind\, a good listener\, and available for one hour per week or per fortnight. \nOur next training day for interested mentors in Ryde will be held on Saturday 23 May. \nThe training is fun and educational\, and you don’t need to make a firm commitment beforehand.
