This in-person event promises to be a memorable experience for all the ages. \nWe have a fantastic line-up of talented local performers who will fill the air with beautiful Christmas carols\, as well as fun for the whole family at the petting zoo\, FREE facepainting and kids activities\, food vans and so much more. \nBring your picnic blankets\, chairs and a sense of community as we come together to celebrate this joyous occasion. Indulge in delicious food and drinks available from our local vendors\, and don’t forget to keep an eye out for Santa’s special helpers who may make a special appearance! \nThis event is organised by Together for Ryde\, a network of churches and Christian organisations in Ryde. \nThis event is supported by the City of Ryde.

DESCRIPTION:“Not only have I become great friends with my mentor\, I’ve also grown confidence in parenting & decision making\, as well as achieving my goal of getting a job I really enjoy.” \nTogether For Ryde is excited to be bringing COACH Community Mentoring to Ryde! \nCOACH is a nationally- and internationally-recognised program that helps people in tough places flourish. \nCommunity members are paired 1:1 with a volunteer mentor\, who becomes a ‘friend with purpose’ who can help them set goals and make progress towards them. \n \nTo be a mentor\, you need to be kind\, a good listener\, and available for one hour per week or per fortnight. \nOur first training day for interested mentors in Ryde will be held on Saturday 18 October. \nThe training is fun and educational\, and you don’t need to make a firm commitment beforehand.
