Together For Ryde

Ryde Women’s Hub is a safe, welcoming and fun place for women to meet their neighbours.

The group meets weekly on Wednesdays and connects over arts and crafts. There are also a collection of sewing machines that women in the community are able to use.

The women who attend come from diverse backgrounds and are looking to build friendships in the community.

Ryde Women’s Hub is currently seeking volunteers who can volunteer at West Ryde on Wednesdays, as well as women who are interested in helping launch new hubs in other parts of Ryde.

Some of the volunteer roles available are:

  • Chatting and making friendships with women at the hub
  • Teaching arts and craft skills (e.g knitting, drawing, painting, sewing)
  • Supervising and teaching how to use the sewing machines and overlocker
  • Assisting with afternoon tea
