Let’s roll up our sleeves and help those in need!
Handy Helpers is all about showing practical love and care to some of our most vulnerable neighbours in Ryde by helping with cleaning, gardening, and other basic household tasks.
You don’t need any special skills to be part of this activity! Just a willingness to serve in practical ways.
Here are some of the tasks our Handy Helpers volunteers might be able to help with:
- Help residents with basic cleaning and gardening tasks that they find difficult
- Help with some basic household tasks like changing lightbulbs for residents who can’t do this themselves
- Moving furniture or assembling flat-packs
Sometimes we organise large working bees to help many residents in a specific location, but we also receive ad-hoc requests to ask if we can help individual residents with specific needs.
